About Us
The Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA), a division of Rescue Inc., provides high-quality EMS education across Vermont. We are seeking a dynamic Lead Instructor to join our team and support the expansion of EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Paramedic
- Vermont Instructor Coordinator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- ACLS, PALS, and AHA Instructor certifications (or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire)
- NAEMT Instructor (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Minimum of one year of EMS teaching experience
- Must meet functional job requirements
Schedule & Commitment
- Full-time, 40 hours/week w/ opportunity for overtime
- Varying days/times, including evenings and weekends based on class schedules
- Some off-site travel required
- Active NREMT paramedic as needed to meet operational demands of the organization
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Instructor for EMT and Advanced EMT courses
- Support as an adjunct Instructor for Paramedic program sim labs
- Help deliver ACLS, PALS, NAEMT, and AHA courses as needed
- Develop, update, and maintain course curriculum in accordance with state and national standards
- Provide mentorship and evaluation of adjunct instructors
Compensation & Benefits
