What This Role Is
You run the floor.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining:
- Warehouse operations
- Volunteer coordination
- Real-time problem solving
You turn incoming food volunteers into a fast, organized, zero-waste system.
Required Schedule (Lead in Charge)
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (operations-heavy)
- Monday: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM (volunteer coordination)
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM (distribution logistics)
What You’ll Do
Monday Morning – Operations
- Sort high volumes of food
- Lift and move 50 lb boxes
- Use pallet jacks, move pallets
- Run Google Sheets inventory (high proficiency)
- Assign volunteer roles create projects in real time
- Organize warehouse for speed and clarity
Monday Evening – Volunteer Leadership
- Direct volunteers immediately on arrival
- Keep everyone engaged and productive
- Maintain structure, clarity, and momentum
Tuesday Morning – Distribution Public
- Coordinate volunteers during active distribution
- Be friendly, fast, and responsive
- Answer questions guide new participants
- Load pallets assist with truck logistics

Requirements
- Lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Operate pallet jacks
- Strong Google Sheets skills
- Take initiative without being told
- Confident directing people
- Excited about rescuing food
Certification Requirement
- Must obtain a Food Safety Manager Certification within 6 weeks of starting
- (We will pay for this if you do not have it)
