Summary:

The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in RESCO’s operations by driving strategic sourcing efforts, identifying new and innovative suppliers, and managing procurement activities from concept through fulfillment. This position goes beyond transactional purchasing, it requires curiosity, trend awareness, and the ability to introduce smarter, more efficient sourcing solutions that support our clients, departments and services. 


The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and excited to bring forward new procurement ideas that improve cost, quality, and workflow efficiency. They must be comfortable navigating a fast-paced, project driven environment and collaborating across departments to ensure materials, supplies, and services are sourced strategically and delivered on time.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Innovation

    Research and identify new suppliers, materials, and sourcing trends that enhance product quality, cost efficiency, or operational performance.

    Evaluate market options and recommend alternative vendors, cost-saving opportunities, or emerging procurement best practices.

    Lead sourcing initiatives from initial concept through vendor onboarding and final implementation.

    Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that support long-term innovation and reliability.

    Proactively generate fresh, creative product ideas and identify trend-forward, “wow-factor” items that elevate client programs and expand RESCO’s sourcing capabilities.


Procurement Operations

    Generate and process purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely procurement of goods and services.

    Track orders, monitor delivery timelines, and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.

    Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing information, and vendor records within the ERP system.

    Support cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives through data analysis and vendor performance evaluation.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with project goals and operational requirements.

    Provide recommendations based on supplier capability, lead times, and budgetary considerations.

    Communicate clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure strong alignment and efficient execution.


Inventory & Logistics Coordination

    Monitor inventory levels and help develop forecasting processes based on usage patterns and budget requirements.

    Coordinate inbound shipments and returns with internal teams and vendors to maintain accuracy and workflow efficiency.

    Assist in maintaining complete and accurate shipping and receiving documentation.


Reporting & Administrative Tasks

    Compile and analyze purchasing metrics to support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement efforts.

    Maintain organized purchasing files, contracts, supplier data, and vendor documentation in accordance with RESCO and 3rd party standards.

    Support special projects, sourcing initiatives, and operational improvements as assigned.

    Other duties as assigned.


You’ll be great at this if you have:

Education & Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

    1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing.

    Experience in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred. 

    Industry familiarity in marketing, production, or manufacturing is a plus.

    Ad Specialty or ASI sourcing experience is a plus.


Skills & Competencies

    Strong analytical mindset with the ability to compare vendor data, assess sourcing options, and support decision-making.

    Curiosity and initiative to research trends, propose new sourcing ideas, and drive continuous improvement.

    Excellent communication skills for both vendor negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NetSuite preferred.

    Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
