This position is responsible for productivity of the manufacturing extrusion line(s) while fostering a work environment that supports safety, productivity, quality, teamwork, and the Reschcor company culture and core values.
This position is responsible for the maintenance, design and improvement of equipment vital to the daily requirements of an extrusion production facility. They will poses the skills necessary to lead the automation of existing or new equipment, including the selection of the best automation method for each situation. This position is charged with ensuring that all equipment and repairs are completed in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. The successful candidate will be a leader who will support the company’s practices, policies, priorities and approaches to how the organization maintains and improves its manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have a thorough understanding and proficiency with programming, diagnosing, repairing, selecting and upgrading PLC’s, robotics, and other automation controls.
- Ability to repair all equipment and tools. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC, hydraulic, diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Ability to secure an outside source to repair equipment and tools if repairs cannot be done in-house.
- Ability to requisition and control all shop supplies.
- Ability to understand and comply with OSHA requirements. Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others around them.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Ability to work with and has a comprehensive understanding of 480v power.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Must provide and maintain their own tools necessary to perform the duties of Maintenance Technician.
- Maintain and review computerized or manual record of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance and inventories.
Qualifications
Qualifications Include
- 4 years Experience in Equipment/Facilities Maintenance.
- Demonstrated history of implementing PLC, Robotics and other equipment automation solutions.
- High level analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Stable work history- longevity at previous employers.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents.

- Must have the Ability to work on feet for up to 8 hours

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
