A North Louisiana fire protection company is seeking an experienced Licensed Fire Suppression and Extinguisher Technician to provide service to commercial and industrial customers throughout the Bossier City and Shreveport area.
This is a hands-on field position for a technician who can inspect, service, install, test, and document portable fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, recharge, install, and certify portable fire extinguishers
- Inspect, test, maintain, and service kitchen hood suppression systems
- Work with pre-engineered and other fire suppression systems
- Service paint booth suppression systems when needed
- Complete inspection tags, service reports, and customer documentation
- Identify system concerns and explain recommended repairs to customers
- Communicate professionally with business owners, managers, and facility contacts
- Maintain service vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory
- Follow Louisiana fire safety requirements, NFPA standards, and company procedures
- Travel to customer locations throughout North Louisiana
- Participate in emergency service calls when required
Required Qualifications
- Current Louisiana State Fire Marshal credentials applicable to fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems
- Hands-on experience with portable fire extinguisher service
- Experience with kitchen hood, pre-engineered, or fixed fire suppression systems
- Familiarity with inspection, testing, maintenance, and service documentation
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in commercial and industrial settings
- Must live in North Louisiana or be able to reliably work from the Bossier City area

Service area includes Shreveport, Haughton, Benton, Blanchard, Minden, and surrounding North Louisiana communities.
Pay
Compensation will be based on experience, licensing, and qualifications.
Pay: $50,556.11 - $60,884.77 per year
