Assistant Program Manager – Day Program (Pittsburg, CA)

Position Summary
The Assistant Program Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of our day program. This position works closely with the Program Manager and Support Coordinator to ensure a safe, structured, and person-centered environment while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations (DDS, CCL, and Regional Center standards).
This role includes both staff supervision and direct support, making it ideal for someone ready to grow into leadership while staying connected to the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily program operations, including floor supervision and staffing coverage
- Supervise and coach Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including performance feedback
- Ensure compliance with DDS, CCL, and RCEB regulations
- Support implementation of person-centered services and HCBS principles
- Oversee documentation quality, including daily notes and incident reporting (SIRs)
- Assist with staff training (e.g., Pro-ACT, documentation, medication procedures)
- Provide direct support to individuals as needed
- Maintain communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with program organization, scheduling, and activity planning
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (day program, behavioral support, or similar setting preferred)
- Experience with or willingness to learn behavioral support techniques (e.g., Pro-ACT)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with Special Incident Reporting (SIRs) and compliance standards
- Knowledge of HCBS principles and person-centered planning
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (licensing requirement)
- Must pass DOJ/FBI background clearance
- Must pass health screening and drug test (pre-employment)
- Must obtain/maintain First Aid/CPR certification
- Must meet all ongoing training and compliance requirements
