Lead, Senior Solutions Architect
Salary: Open bonus
Location: McLean, VA
Flexible Onsite: 5 days/week (6 remote weeks per year)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience with modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, Angular, Java, Python)
- 8 years in a senior architectural or technical leadership role.
- This is a director level role as a single contributor.
- Deep experience in solution architecture, microservices, APIs, integration patterns, security best practices, micro-front ends, 12 factors, etc.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS is preferred).
- Experience with building GenAI and AI solutions
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
- 3 years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture preferred.
- Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable, with architecture experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., (finance, healthcare) required.
- Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.) are preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex, high-impact technical solutions across multiple systems and teams, contributing to the overall technology vision across Enterprise Risk.
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architecture principles and best practices.
- Own and evolve architectural standards, patterns, and documentation for long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and make strategic recommendations aligned with business goals.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide hands-on support when needed for technical decisions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, balancing innovation, speed, and technical debt.
- Collaborate with the company's Enterprise Technology, Architecture, Data, and Security organizations to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise standards and principles.
