Responsibilities
As a Diesel Shop Technician at Republic Services, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with mechanical systems, hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems.
- Conducting tire rotations, tread depth checks, and replacement as needed.
- Working closely with our Lead Technicians, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Managers to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a technician position or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within 3 months.
- Knowledge of gasoline and diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
- Able to perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
