POSITION SUMMARY: As we partner with customers to create a more sustainable world, a cutting-edge opportunity awaits a General Manager to lead the Company’s Polymer Center operations, which includes P&L responsibility for all facets of the rPET flake and high-quality olefins manufacturing process. You will begin by working alongside the design and construction team to bring to life the Company’s Polymer Center, and thereafter be accountable for the 24/7/365 manufacturing operation. Working in a human-centered, matrix management environment, you will lead a multi-functional team comprised of Operations, Maintenance, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Engineering team members. To be successful, experience in manufacturing operations is essential, and being just as comfortable on the production floor as behind a desk will be equally important. The selected candidate will be an experienced leader of people with a problem-solving mindset; a leader that will train, motivate, and inspire a diverse team to display customer zeal as they serve internal and external customers, and a hands-on leader.
The position will be a highly visible role within the Company, and you will represent the Company to customers, partners, and other external stakeholders. You will play a key role in advancing circularity in the environmental services industry and showcasing the Company’s Sustainability in Action culture.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes upon the Company’s strategic circularity operating plan; champions and drives the execution of the strategic plan and tactical initiatives, including but not limited to operating safely, enhancing customer experience, improving efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
Oversees effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensures a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
Drives the production planning process to optimize throughput.
Leads operations to ensure compliance with all standards including environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting, and ethics.
Engages and motivates team members through talent development and performance enhancement.
Cultivates and sustains a 5S Continuous Improvement program.
Builds and maintains strong and effective relations with relevant government, community, and environmental groups.
This position may require travel by air, car and/or other modes of transportation up to 25% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrable experience leading manufacturing operations; previous employment by a Fortune 500 company preferred.
Prior rPET manufacturing washline experience is ideal.
Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking and an ability to execute against formulated strategy.
Prior laboratory experience is ideal.
Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives.
Process-oriented and results-oriented in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success and marshaling resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management responsibility.
Minimum of 5 years of P & L experience.

Salary : $68,000 - $120,000
