WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an Assistant Principal of Instruction, your work will focus on the following:
Instructional Leadership
- Set a bold vision for academic excellence, ensuring that all scholars meet rigorous academic and growth goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor data-driven instructional strategies to enhance scholar outcomes.
- Lead weekly professional development sessions and facilitate instructional coaching cycles for teachers, providing actionable feedback to improve teaching practices.
- Observe classrooms regularly, providing real-time feedback to drive teacher effectiveness.
- Guide teachers in developing and executing high-quality, differentiated lesson plans aligned with academic standards.
- Foster a collaborative culture where teachers learn, grow, and innovate together.
- Utilize assessment data to identify trends, monitor progress, and inform instruction.
- Ensure consistent implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies across the school.
- Support teachers in analyzing student data to close achievement gaps and accelerate growth.
- Partner with teachers, scholars, and families to cultivate a joyful, inclusive school culture that celebrates diversity and fosters mutual respect.
- Actively engage families as partners in their children’s education, ensuring transparent communication about progress and goals.
- Monitor and support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and English Language Learner (ELL) programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all academic policies are effectively communicated and adhered to by staff.

- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree in education, leadership, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid teaching certification (required); endorsement in ESL or Special Education (preferred).
- 3 years of teaching experience with demonstrated success in improving student outcomes (required).
- 1-2 years of school leadership experience, managing and coaching adults (required).
