Position Summary:

Republic Elite Cabinets is seeking a Product Configurator to join our Product team. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our cabinet and accessory product configurators that support engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and sales.

This is a remote position with preference given to candidates located in Idaho, Washington and Texas.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Engineering, Estimating, Sales, Manufacturing, and IT to translate complex product specifications into configurable business rules that drive accurate product selection, pricing, bills of material, and manufacturing information.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys solving logical problems, working with data, and developing technical solutions within a manufacturing environment.

Quarterly travel to manufacturing facilities located in Texas, Georgia, Illinois and California will be required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

Develop and maintain parametric product configurators for cabinetry, and related products.

Translate engineering specifications, product standards, and customer requirements into configurable business rules.

Create and maintain product attributes, options, constraints, and validation logic.

Build and maintain configuration tables using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Assist with product launches by configuring new products, finishes, accessories, and options.

Support pricing initiatives by understanding product costs, margins, and pricing methodologies.

Analyze configuration issues and troubleshoot errors reported by Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.

Work with cross-functional teams to improve configuration accuracy and reduce manual engineering effort.

Document configuration logic, procedures, and product rules.

Participate in testing, validation, and quality assurance before production releases.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve configuration efficiency and automation.


Qualifications – Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing experience will also be considered.

1–5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, product configuration, estimating, CAD support, ERP administration, or a related analytical role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret complex product specifications and technical documentation.

Advanced proficiency with:

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Access

Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

Comfortable working with large datasets and structured information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Qualifications - Preferred

Experience with parametric programming or product configuration software.

Cabinet, millwork, furniture, building products, or manufacturing industry experience preferred but not required.

Experience with Cyncly 2020 Insight or other product configuration platforms.

Experience working with ERP systems (Sage 100, Insight or similar).

Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing processes.

Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.

Product configurators.

CAD-integrated configuration tools.

Understanding of engineering change management processes.


Physical Requirements
:

Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday on a manufacturing floor when conducting equipment assessments, process observations, and employee training

Ability to sit for extended periods of time while performing computer-based tasks, engineering analysis, and administrative duties

Frequent use of hands and fingers for operating computers, machinery controls, and handling tools and equipment

Ability to talk and hear clearly in a loud manufacturing environment when communicating with production staff, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Close vision required for reading technical drawings, engineering documents, equipment displays, and computer screens

Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl when inspecting machinery, equipment, or production floor areas

Ability to occasionally reach with hands and arms at various heights and angles when working with or around manufacturing equipment

Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, such as tools, equipment components, or manufacturing materials

Ability to work in varying environmental conditions common to a manufacturing facility including noise, dust, heat, and exposure to wood particulate

Ability to navigate the production floor safely, including working in proximity to active machinery and moving equipment


Compensation:

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
