Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position supports the manufacturing team to achieve operational excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). By executing fundamental material handling, preparation, and fabrication tasks, this role ensures that each work area has the specific items needed for production. Through hands-on execution, this position actively eliminates workflow disruptions, maintains smooth material flow, keeps the shop floor organized, and supports on-time order fulfillment through active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret a tape measure accurately to cut wood, sheet goods, and raw materials according to precise production specifications and cut lists.

Operate manual and pneumatic power hand tools (such as sanders, drills, and staple guns) to execute repetitive production line assembly operations for medium-sized cabinetry components.

Identify and select appropriate materials, fittings, hardware, and specialized tools required for each scheduled fabrication task.

Unload, stack, and stage assembly materials safely across the shop floor to ensure uninterrupted material flow to active workstations.

Conduct rapid visual and physical inspections to sort products, identify surface or structural defects, and verify that all assemblies meet strict company quality standards.

Maintain a steady, rapid production pace under close supervision to achieve daily throughput targets.

Utilize hands, arms, and legs to safely handle, position, flip, and move cabinetry components and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shop floor.

Promote and maintain a collaborative team environment aligned with company values, safety principles, and operational goals.

Demonstrate flexibility and availability to work irregular hours, extended shifts, and mandatory overtime as production demands dictate.

Clean and organize the assigned work area daily, adhering to strict facility housekeeping and safety guidelines to minimize airborne dust and hazards.

Cross-train willingly in different workstations and departments (such as cutting, assembly, or finishing) to support changing plant layout and operational needs.

Display a positive, “Can Do” attitude, acting as an active participant and change agent in continuous improvement initiatives.
