Maintenance Technician

Job Function:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician must provide support to production while following all safety procedures and policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, machine drawings, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schematics.
• Troubleshoots programmable controllers.
• Troubleshoots equipment with CNC pneumatics and hydraulic controls.
• Installs wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
• Adjusts and calibrates machines.
• Removes, replaces and/or repairs machinery.
• Takes work orders out of CMMS and completes in a timely manner.
• Completes parts requisitions in CMMS with correct part numbers and vendors.
• Ensures all safety, including PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures are followed.
• Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group.
• Initiates self-directed activities.
• Perform 5S requirements as assigned.  
• Complies with preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and adheres to the published standards.

• Familiar with 5S requirements and standards 

Experience Requirement:

• 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred.
• 5 years of controls experience preferred.

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma
• Technical School Training considered in lieu of experience.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment – limited environmental controls 
• Varying noise levels.
• Fast-paced work.

Physical Demands:

• Standing: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day)
• Walking: Most of the day ( more than 5 hours per day)
• Bending: Occasionally
• Lifting: medium (less than 50 lbs.)
• Carry: medium (50- 80 lbs.)
• Pushing/Pulling: under 50 lbs. without assistance frequently
