GENERAL FUNCTION: The AML Analyst I is primarily responsible for clearing daily Suspicious Activity Alerts (SAM) and reviewing/clearing e-Wire OFAC alerts. The position supports the overall AML/CFT compliance efforts as required under the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigate and analyze suspect matches from e-Wire OFAC alerts and other list screenings.

Work customer transaction alerts on the NICE/Actimize system, escalating suspicious activity to the AML Analyst II or AML Analyst III.

Help prepare and file CTRs for Retail and MSB customers.

Aid in Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews for high-risk retail customers.

Aid in SAR preparation for activity identified as reportable.

Provide other assistance as requested by the AML Officer in the daily managing of the AML/CFT and OFAC Compliance Program.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Excellent communication skills required (oral and written).

Able to complete daily responsibilities with little supervision.

Able to maintain confidential records in a detailed and organized manner.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Typing minimum of 30 wpm.

Good organizational and reconciling skills.

AML/CFT knowledge / background or banking experience.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training will be provided during your Introductory Period and annually thereafter. If you need additional training, you are responsible for contacting your immediate supervisor.
