Leasing Agent
Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Leasing Agent to support the day-to-day operations of our residential and commercial properties. This role combines leasing, tenant relations, and property oversight, with a focus on maintaining high occupancy, delivering excellent tenant experiences, and ensuring our properties are well maintained.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in real estate, property management, or operations. We are willing to train the right candidate, including recent college graduates with strong organizational and communication skills.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekend availability as needed for property showings
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Marketing
- Market and promote available rental properties across multiple online platforms
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via email and phone
- Conduct professional property tours for prospective tenants
- Screen applicants, including background, credit, and rental history checks
- Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with local regulations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local landlord-tenant and Fair Housing laws
- Coordinate smooth tenant move-ins and move-outs
Tenant Relations
- Serve as primary point of contact for tenant questions, concerns, and requests
- Communicate professionally with residents, colleagues, vendors, and prospective tenants
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive tenant relationships
Property Operations
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Ensure properties meet safety standards and legal requirements
- Monitor property conditions and report any concerns
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed
Administrative & Financial
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and property documentation
- Assist with rent collection and professionally follow up on delinquencies
- Keep organized records of leases, communications, and property information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable using computers and software systems (Microsoft Office and general platforms)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Trustworthy, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Open to recent college graduates with no prior experience
- Flexible availability for showings, including weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk properties regularly, including climbing stairs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during showings and inspections
- Ability to travel between multiple property locations
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at $23 per hour, based on experience
