DentalScan is the medical AI division of ReplyQuick, one of the fastest-growing and most tractioned startups in the United States.
We build AI-powered intra-oral image analysis systems using smartphone-captured dental photos. Our work directly supports families in need, underserved communities, school programs, and individuals who lack immediate access to dental care.
We currently maintain a 50,000-image labeled dataset and are expanding toward 100,000 labeled images as part of our continuous retraining and improvement pipeline.
Our clinical categories include:
• Gum inflammation and gingivitis staging
• Plaque and calculus detection
• Recession classification
• Orthodontic tooth movement tracking
• Implant and crown monitoring
• General intra-oral diagnostic classifications
This internship is intended for individuals who are highly organized, technically inclined, and passionate about helping coordinate one of the most meaningful medical AI efforts in the United States.
Role OverviewAs a Product Manager Intern at DentalScan, you will serve as the communication and coordination bridge between our machine learning team, data labelers, onboarding developers, backend engineers, and frontend engineers.
You will work directly with team leads, ensure task clarity, maintain deadlines, organize deliverables, and support the execution of DentalScan’s product roadmap. You should be technically curious, highly disciplined, and able to understand the flow of ML development, software engineering, and data operations.
This is a 12-week unpaid internship with the possibility of transitioning into a paid product management role upon strong performance.
You must attend two daily meetings (10:30 AM PST and 2:30 PM PST) and commit 25 hours per week consistently.
Because we receive a high volume of applicants and fill roles quickly, only serious, reliable candidates with strong communication and organization skills will be considered.
Responsibilities• Coordinate tasks across ML, backend, frontend, and data-labeling teams
• Ensure deadlines are met and milestones remain on schedule
• Maintain communication between development teams, flag blockers, and drive resolution
• Assist in translating founder/lead requirements into clear, actionable tasks
• Track progress across multiple parallel workstreams
• Support onboarding of new developers and interns
• Manage documentation, product notes, and workflow clarity
• Help structure the DentalScan pipeline, feature sets, and internal processes
• Participate in daily syncs and maintain alignment across teams
• Ensure product expectations are met with high accuracy and accountability

• Clear English communication

Not required but strongly preferred:
• Prior exposure to engineering, ML, healthcare tech, or product workflow
• Experience coordinating between multiple technical teams
• Familiarity with GitHub, sprint planning, or agile processes
