Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operations of the warehouse. This position is responsible for a variety of functions including, but not limited to, receiving and shipment of customer equipment and distributing goods and products within the warehouse. The Warehouse Associate will work closely with the warehouse team and management to ensure the warehouse maintains a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Heavy lifting required consistently lifting between 50-75 pounds.
- Receive incoming customer equipment.
- Accurately record received shipments and update ERP systems accordingly.
- Prepare equipment for shipping, ensuring they are properly labeled and packaged for safe transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by regularly removing empty packaging and debris.
- Keep storage areas and aisles clear and safe for easy access and movement of goods.·
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing equipment to ensure they meet established standards.
- Report any damaged or defective items to management and follow established procedures for returns or replacements.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates, supervisors, and team members to achieve common goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding challenges and improvements.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehousing or logistics is a plus.·
- Prior experience as a warehouse associate or in a similar role is preferred but not always required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and fulfilling orders.·
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills to use warehouse management systems and other software tools.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
