What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Shipping Associate position at Rep the US LLC?
OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION
The part time Shipping Associate is a “hands-on” role within our manufacturing production floor that applies efficiency with strong Shipping experience to smoothly process products out of the facility, and to service our customers in the best manner possible.
**Hours would be in the afternoon until 5pm
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Assists with preparing items for shipment including packing, weighing and measuring, counting, and shrink wrapping on pallets as needed.
- Packages items securely and according to client specifications to prevent damage during transit.
- Verifies product counts for outbound shipments.
- Pulls orders and load trucks according to packing lists.
- Assists in cross-training with warehouse assistance.
- Understands shipping/receiving paperwork (DHL, UPS, LTL etc)
- Reviews orders and warehouse to detect, report, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three to Five years experience in related field
- Tow Motor Experience
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Communicate effectively with other shipping and production associates
- Possess good organizational skills
- Teamwork
- Strong attention to detail to thoroughly complete work tasks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working with and communicating with different personality types
- Capable of actively listening and comprehending to convey information effectively
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Able to remain in a seated position up to 60 percent of the day while operating a forklift
- Able to move on and off the forklift throughout the day
