REO Plastics, Inc. is a progressive ISO certified custom injection molding company that has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process & Automation Technician.
Position Summary:
The Process & Automation Technician will be assisting the Process Engineer in designing, building and improving auxiliary equipment to maximize productivity on new and existing products.
Key Tasks:
- Help build and automate machinery.
- Research potential benefits of automation and improvements to justify costs.
- Train personnel in the use and benefits of new equipment.
- Collaborate with others in the evaluation of production equipment needs and make recommendations for the selection of new equipment.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists.
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding methods, processes, and procedures is preferred
- Have the ability to solve problems and make decisions independently as required.
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout the plant for extended periods.
