What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Assembler position at REO Plastics?

1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Position Summary:
The Lead Assembler will ensure that assemblers perform their tasks to produce quality parts in an efficient and safe manner. They will report directly to the Lead Coordinator.
Key Tasks:
- Coordinate and advise Assemblers in the performance of their duties.
- Assist with morning start-ups for all assemblers.
- Conduct Inventory counts and label packaging.
- Monitor all assigned assembly lines for efficient production of quality parts twice each hour.
- Monitor all assigned assembly line bids for each hour.
- Complete inventory documentation throughout he assembly task.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists.
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Attend Weekly Lead Assembler meetings
Minimum Requirements, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience with Line Assembly
- Attention to Detail
- Must have great interpersonal skills.
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to take direction from Supervisors/Manager
- Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack or hand jack occasionally.
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand, for eight hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Previous Lead experience (Preferred)
