Job purpose
The Material Handler performs shipping and receiving functions in support of the distribution center, while maximizing on-time deliveries and fill rates.
Duties and responsibilities
- The Material Handler also performs receiving and shipping functions with a goal of 100% fill-rates and 100% on-time deliveries as a loader.
- Prepares and completes shipping and receiving documentation and inputs data into database.
- The Material Handler maintains material inventories by performing physical counts of materials according to the inventory control policies, labeling materials clearly, and reporting the data to the Logistics Manager, with a goal of 99% Inventory Rate Accuracy.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including, but not limited to inventory, customer service, data entry, and shipping and receiving.
Qualification
* Must pass a drug and background screen
* High School Graduate
* Good mathematical skills
* Excellent Attendance
Physical requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for several hours.
* Exposed to loud, hot, and cold distribution environment.
* Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for several hours.
- Be able to lift 50lbs or more
