The Pharmacy Technician – Warehouse Operations will play a key role in the storage, handling, and distribution of medications and supplies. This position requires a licensed pharmacy technician with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and organize incoming medication shipments.Maintain proper storage of pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare medication orders for distribution.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including cycle counts and expiration date checks.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and vendor returns.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely.
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff as needed with additional duties.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
Retail Pharmacy Technician Duties:
- Accurately fill, label, and package prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Process and input prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
- Assist patients at the counter and over the phone with prescription needs and questions.
- Process insurance claims and troubleshoot rejections.
- Handle cash register transactions for prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
- Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support pharmacists with day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Active and in good standing Texas Pharmacy Technician license
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or inventory management setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
