Responsibilities
- Operate professional carpet cleaning machines, tile scrubbers, and buffing equipment to restore surfaces to their best condition
- Perform thorough cleaning of carpets, tiles, and hard floors using environmentaly friendly cleaning solutions and techniques
- Conduct routine floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Prepare work areas by setting up equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed before starting cleaning procedures
- Inspect completed work to ensure high standards of cleanliness and address any touch-ups needed
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, equipment usage, and supplies inventory
- Follow all safety guidelines and environmental standards during cleaning operations to promote a safe workplace
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or environmental services preferred
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning methods and floor care techniques such as buffing and tile scrubbing is highly desirable
- Experience operating professional cleaning machinery and equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout shifts
