What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Estimating Coordinator position at Renu Contracting & Restoration?

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimating Coordinator for our Copiague, NY location.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assign specific trades to each estimating coordinator to obtain and level pricing.
- Will obtain and level pricing on more technical trades not assigned to estimating coordinators.
- Review all plans and specifications for RFIs and creation of scope sheets.
- Review and level all proposals across all trades.
- Identify potential Value Engineering options/ Specification substitutions.
- Oversee leveling of all trades before presenting to management.
- Confirm Value engineering options.
- Approve all scopes as written by preconstruction coordinator for subcontractor agreements.
- Assist with T&M contract related work at the direction of Matt and Dan; take field notes and measurements for the purpose of compiling an estimate.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, however, 5 years of Architectural and/or construction experience will be considered.
Skill Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Microsoft Project Schedule
- Proficient in Procore
Prior Experience:
- Experience in reviewing construction documents such as drawings and specifications
- 5 years of quantity take-off experience
- 3-5 years in a managerial role
