Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with professionalism, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments using dental practice management software Eaglesoft.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims efficiently.
- Collect payments, provide insurance estimates.
- Maintain precise dental records by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical history, updating treatment plans, and explaining treatment processes clearly.
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations while optimizing clinic workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Support all administrative tasks.
- Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines during all patient interactions and documentation review processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and courteously while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clerical skills.
Skills
- Experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Proven ability in insurance verification, claims processing, billing, and collections within a healthcare setting.
- Prior dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology enhances efficiency in daily tasks.
- Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, filing systems, and health information management protocols.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards ensures confidentiality at all times during patient interactions and documentation handling.
