Position Overview
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vacuum trucks, tankers, and related heavy equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Job Functions
- Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Service diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems.
- Complete work orders and process parts requests.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of mechanical experience is preferred.
- Experience as a diesel, heavy truck, or heavy equipment mechanic.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Vacuum truck repair experience is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.
- Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials preferred.
- CDL preferred. Candidates without a CDL at the time of hire will be helped obtaining one.
- Must provide standard hand tools up to 1½ inches. Specialty and oversized tools are provided by the company.
