Regional Vice President of Operations - Southeast

Position Overview

The Regional VP of Operations - Southeast oversees branch operations and financial performance of Rentix Solutions locations in Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. This hands-on role manages and supports General Managers, with responsibility for branch P&Ls, fleet readiness, employee performance, and customer service. The region serves customers through specialty equipment rental, including vacuum trucks, hydro excavation equipment, and sewer cleaning equipment.

Regional Operations and Branch Performance

• Work with General Managers to put company goals into practice, review branch results, and follow through on needed improvements.
• Visit locations regularly to review operations, identify problems, and help managers resolve staffing, scheduling, service, and rental issues.
• Work with HR, sales, fleet, and other support teams to address branch needs and maintain consistent company practices.

Financial Performance and P&L Management

• Manage regional and branch P&Ls, review revenue and expenses, and work with General Managers to improve profitability and control costs.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting, review results against budget, and follow up on variances.
• Monitor billing and work orders for accuracy and timely invoicing. Review operating reports and track corrective actions.

Leadership and Employee Support

• Manage and mentor General Managers, set clear expectations, and hold them accountable for branch performance and follow-through.
• Assist with hiring, employee concerns, performance issues, and scheduling specialized training.
• Support the development of branch leaders and staff while reinforcing company values, teamwork, and accountability.

Sales and Customer Relationships

• Ensure General Managers support location sales staff and regularly review sales activity and progress toward goals.
• Work with managers and sales teams to develop customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and resolve customer concerns.

Fleet Readiness and Equipment Management

• Ensure equipment is maintained in good condition and repairs are completed promptly so units are ready for rent or sale.
• Review equipment availability, preventive maintenance, repair turnaround, downtime, and maintenance costs with branch managers.
• Coordinate equipment movement between locations and regions to support customer needs and fleet utilization.

Qualifications

• Strong industry knowledge and progressive operations experience in industrial services, specialty equipment rental, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience managing multiple locations across several states, including responsibility for managers, employees, and branch P&Ls.
• Working knowledge of vacuum trucks, hydro excavation equipment, sewer cleaning equipment, or comparable industrial equipment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read financial statements, manage budgets, control expenses, and use operating results to identify needed improvements.
• Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, email, and business systems. Able to prepare reports, review data, and handle routine administrative responsibilities independently.
• A hands-on, self-sufficient approach, with strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.

Travel

• Extensive travel throughout the Southeast region is required, including frequent branch visits, customer meetings, and overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
