We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Wholesale Parts Manager to lead our pump parts distribution operations. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of pump parts inventory, including stocking, ordering, and inventory control to optimize supply levels and reduce waste
- Lead sales efforts by developing strategies for pump parts and accessories sales, including pump parts sales and retail math analysis to maximize revenue
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and personalized service
- Oversee order fulfillment processes ensuring timely delivery while maintaining accuracy in stock levels using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Supervise staff involved in inventory management, cashiering, customer service, and marketing efforts to ensure high performance standards
- Utilize pump diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting skills to assist customers with issues and provide technical guidance when necessary
- Implement effective marketing strategies to promote pump repair services and parts sales while leveraging Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for reporting and analysis
- Conduct regular inventory audits, manage stock replenishment schedules, and control costs through efficient inventory management practices
- Train team members on product knowledge, customer service protocols, phone etiquette, and organizational skills to enhance overall department performance
- Collaborate with office personnel on pump maintenance projects requiring mechanical knowledge or pump repair expertise
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management within the pump parts or distributor environment with a strong track record of achieving sales targets
- Extensive knowledge of pump parts and accessories along with familiarity with pump systems and automotive diagnostics
- Proficiency in inventory management software such as CMMS or similar systems; experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is essential
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, order fulfillment, and customer relationship building
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills related to pump repair processes are highly desirable
- Retail sales experience combined with knowledge of POS systems, and retail math techniques
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
