Position Summary
Rental Guys in Sacramento, CA is seeking a dependable Full-Time Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for safely transporting equipment between job sites and Rental Guys branch locations while operating well-maintained, modern equipment in a professional environment.
The driver will operate a Peterbilt 579 with a 10-speed manual transmission, pulling a Traileze TE70XT lowboy trailer, and will handle equipment deliveries, pickups, and inter-branch transfers.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction and rental equipment
- Perform deliveries, pickups, and inter-branch equipment transfers as assigned
- Operate a Peterbilt 579 with a Traileze TE70XT lowboy trailer
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and branch staff
- Represent Rental Guys professionally with customers and coworkers
- Assist with basic yard or equipment-related tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience loading and unloading heavy equipment and proper tie-down procedures
- Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
