Independent Contractor- Property Preservation and Mainteanance

Job Overview:

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Property Preservation Sub-Contractors to complete field services on residential properties. This role requires independent work, strong time management, and the ability to meet client deadlines and quality standards.

Scope of Work

• Complete property preservation tasks on vacant and occupied properties.
• Work includes property securing (lock changes, board-ups), debris removal, lawn maintenance, winterizations, major and minor repairs and maintenance.
• Perform routine inspections and document property condition with photos and detailed reports according to client guidelines.
• Execute minor repairs and maintenance such as boarding, lock changes, plumbing winterization, and basic handyman work.
• Execute major repairs like siding, drywall, flooring, decking, roofing etc.
• Previous experience in property preservation, maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide range of handyman tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Must have own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with property preservation guidelines, safety standards, and local compliance requirements is a plus.
• Comfortable using mobile apps or software to receive and submit work orders and updates.
• Valid driver’s license and required insurance (if applicable).Strong communication skills and a professional, reliable work ethic.

Compensation

• Pay is per work order/job (piece rate).
• Rates vary based on service type and property condition.

Opportunities for consistent volume based on performance and coverage area.

Coverage Area

• Must be able to cover assigned service areas and travel to multiple properties as needed.
• Ability to accept jobs within your designated region is required.

Requirements (Business/Compliance)

• Must be able to pass background check (if required).
• Must carry general liability insurance (preferred or required).

Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor.

Tools & Technology

• Must have a smartphone capable of taking clear photos and uploading reports.
• Familiarity with field service apps is a plus.
