Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscaping and grounds maintenance. The Groundskeeper will work with various tools and equipment to ensure that all areas are well-kept and visually appealing.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing.
- Maintain gardens by planting, watering, weeding, and mulching to promote healthy growth.
- Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including pruning shrubs, raking leaves, and removing debris.
- Utilize hand tools for various gardening tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
- Monitor the condition of plants and landscapes, identifying any issues that may require attention.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots & building entrances
- Perform other duties as required
Experience
- Previous experience in grounds keeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- A keen eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics in outdoor spaces.
