Our residential group home in Bowie Maryland has opening and seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential House Parent to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents in a group home or assisted living environment.
Overview
The Residential House Parent is a live-in Position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and support. This ideal candidate should be able to cook and clean with prior experience in cooking and cleaning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care settings such as nursing homes
Duties
· Ensures the home is kept clean and tidy at all times
· Cook and prepare meal for the clients
· Ensure there is food in the house at all time
· Ensure safety of participant in the home
· Provide assistance with activities for daily living - assure the appearance of the participants is appropriate at all
· Work with clients when necessary.
· Monitor clients during the day and night
· Assists the clients with personal hygiene and grooming
· Assist the clients in engaging in daily chores
· Discuss client’s condition and medical care with the supervisor
· Assist the Residential Counselor Lead purchase items for the house
