Health Center Administrator

Fulltime onsite role located in Fairfield, California

Position Summary

The Health Center Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a healthcare facility. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The Administrator leads multidisciplinary teams, manages budgets and resources, and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations while promoting a culture of patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Oversee the daily operations of the healthcare center and ensure effective coordination across departments including nursing, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, therapeutic services, and social services.

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational strategies that support quality care and operational efficiency.

• Ensure adequate staffing levels and appropriate resources are in place to meet patient care needs.

Staff Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, and supervise department managers and supervisory staff.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure effective leadership across teams.

• Support staff development, training programs, and ongoing professional education.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare facilities.

• Maintain adherence to licensing requirements, healthcare standards, and safety regulations.

• Participate in quality assurance programs and monitor performance indicators to improve care outcomes.

Financial Oversight

• Assist in developing and managing the annual operating and capital budgets.

• Monitor financial performance and ensure operations remain within approved budget guidelines.

• Oversee purchasing, vendor contracts, and resource allocation.

Patient & Family Relations

• Address patient concerns, complaints, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and community stakeholders.

• Ensure patient rights, dignity, and quality of care are maintained.

Quality & Safety Management

• Review incident reports and collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate interventions.

• Maintain safe working and care environments through adherence to safety and infection control standards.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational committees.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Licensure

• Valid Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of California or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

Experience

• Minimum of four years of management or supervisory experience in healthcare administration, long-term care, or a related clinical environment.

• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and healthcare operations preferred.
