Position Purpose

The TMO Data Analyst supports Renown Health by measuring, analyzing, and reporting performance against cascaded health system goals. This role ensures strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes and provides timely, actionable insights that enable leaders to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive enterprise‑wide improvement. The analyst partners closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and results.

Nature and Scope

Translates system‑level strategic priorities and cascades goals into clear, measurable metrics and performance indicators across enterprise domains (e.g., Acute Care, Medical Group, Support Services).

Significant Responsibilities

  • Designs, produces, and maintains standardized scorecards, dashboards, and reports to track progress at the enterprise, portfolio, and initiative levels.
  • Acquires, validates, and integrates data from multiple clinical and operational sources to ensure accuracy and reliability of performance measurement.
  • Analyzes performance trends, variances, and root causes to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions tied to health system goals.
  • Presents clear, concise, and actionable insights to senior leaders, translating complex data into meaningful narratives that support decision‑making.
  • Supports Renown measurement standards, definitions, and data governance practices to ensure consistency and comparability across cascaded goals.
  • Partners with transformation and improvement leaders to evaluate initiative impact, monitor benefits realization, and refine metrics as strategies evolve.
  • Supports the continued maturity of the TMO through adoption of changes and new directives and by proactively collaborating with other team members.

Challenges for this position are to exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, organization, time management, and analytical skills. This role must be able to translate analytic language to operational colleagues. This position will collaborate with physicians, staff, leaders, SMEs, and other analysts to achieve clear performance measurements in all areas of focus. The incumbent is challenged to meet constant deadlines, maintain the integrity of organization’s analytic and reporting standards, and to escalate risks and concerns to leader. Incumbent must be self-motivated, independent, and adaptable in order to provide value in an ever-changing, complex environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Description

Education:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively. Bachelor’s degree required in data analytics, business, healthcare administration, industrial/systems engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in performance analytics or healthcare analytics may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience

Experience in data analysis, performance measurement, or reporting in a healthcare or complex operational environment. Demonstrated ability to analyze trends, synthesize insights, and communicate findings to leadership. Experience working with dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics aligned to strategic goals.

License(s)

None

Certification(s)

Certification or experience in analytics, performance improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies preferred.

Computer / Typing

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
