Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.
Position Purpose
The Clinical Coordinator-RN is a highly skilled Registered Nurse responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of specialized clinical programs serving complex neurological patient populations. This role is instrumental in supporting Renown’s ongoing accreditation and performance standards as a Comprehensive Stroke Center while helping ensure exceptional patient care across the continuum.
As part of the Outpatient Neuro Clinic team, the Clinical Coordinator-RN partners closely with physicians, nursing teams, leadership, registry staff, and interdisciplinary departments to drive quality outcomes, regulatory readiness, performance improvement initiatives, and patient-centered care coordination.
The position serves as both a clinical expert and strategic program leader, helping align workflows, clinical protocols, education, and quality initiatives with standards established by organizations such as The Joint Commission and national stroke accreditation bodies.

What You’ll Do
Lead Stroke Program & Clinical Excellence Initiatives
Support and sustain Renown’s Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation through ongoing quality and regulatory initiatives
Coordinate multidisciplinary care across the stroke and neurological patient continuum
Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols, policies, and best practices
Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and clinical teams to improve patient outcomes and program performance
Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for stroke and neurological care initiatives
Champion Quality & Performance Improvement
Monitor stroke program metrics, outcomes, and compliance standards
Lead quality initiatives, audits, case reviews, and process improvement efforts
Collaborate with registry teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient safety, and clinical outcomes
Facilitate cross-functional teams focused on accreditation readiness and performance excellence
Educate, Mentor & Advocate
Provide patient and family education related to neurological conditions, stroke recovery, and care plans
Develop educational resources that support patient self-management and continuity of care
Mentor and support staff involved in neurological and stroke patient care
Participate in orientation, education, and outreach initiatives across the health system and community
Support Research & Innovation
Participate in evidence-based practice and clinical research initiatives
Evaluate emerging stroke and neurological care best practices for operational integration
Support innovation and program development within the neuroscience service line

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related Bachelor’s degree required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience required
Experience in neurology, stroke care, critical care, neurointerventional, or specialty practice preferred
Licensure
Current or ability to obtain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfortable utilizing electronic systems and online learning platforms
