Renovation Church is a fast-growing community that is passionate about following Jesus and helping others do the same. Since the recent shift to a church with multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities north metro we have grown in attendance from 500 to over 3,000 people over the past four years. We are looking to hire a Children’s Pastor to help lead kids from birth-5th grade during Sunday morning services at the Shoreview location. RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Leader for Children’s Ministry
- Provide vision and leadership to improve the Children’s ministry and take it to the next level.
- Be the point person for escalated questions, concerns, and issues from parents/staff/volunteers.
- Responsible for overseeing, enforcing, and adapting all Children’s Ministries standards; ensuring compliance with Abuse Prevention forms and other insurance/liability information
- Develop resources to effectively encourage parents to disciple their children at home.
- Manage organizational structure, making adjustments as needed.
- Work with the Children’s ministry volunteers on a regular basis to hear feedback and refine the ministry.
Training & Supporting Volunteers
- Train new volunteers
- Recruit new volunteers for the ministry
- Identify and develop key leaders to support volunteers and carry out various ministry tasks
- Oversee weekly Momentum Meetings
- Support and encourage volunteers on a regular basis
- Lead a yearly training for existing volunteers and other ongoing trainings as needed
Children’s Ministry Administration
- Prepare curriculum materials
- Oversee the purchasing of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Conduct background checks
Meetings
- Meet regularly with the Location Pastor to report strengths and weaknesses of the ministry, to be held accountable for job responsibilities, and also to better develop personal leadership.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and meetings with the Shoreview staff
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
