Position OverviewRenon Power is seeking energetic Product Managers to specialize in mastering technical understanding of our commercial and industrial products, their application, system requirements, and use cases; to then communicate that understanding to our customers. That developed product mastery will be applied to support Pre-Sales System Design or Customer Education ensuring accurate knowledge of our products is common throughout the industry. These roles bridge deep product understanding with customer-facing communication and industry networking. Each Product Manager will work closely with the Sales Team, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support to ensure customers receive expert guidance—from initial solution design through successful product adoption. Candidates should have a technical degree from an accredited university and 1–3 years of relevant experience in technical, engineering, or product-facing roles. We are also looking for outgoing individuals who enjoy educating others through teaching, hands on training, and issue resolution. Role Specializations1. Product Manager – Pre-Sales System DesignSupporting the sales organization with technical guidance, system configuration, and project scoping.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the Sales Team to identify, gather, and validate customer project requirements.
- Provide technical expertise during early-stage customer engagements, including solution design, energy modeling, and system configuration.
- Support sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical Q&A sessions.
- Prepare pre-sales documentation such as one-lines, solution overviews, and sizing recommendations.
- Translate field insights and customer requirements into product improvement suggestions.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Renon Power’s product ecosystem, including BESS hardware, software, and integrations.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams to ensure accurate and achievable system proposals.
2. Product Manager – Customer Education & Product Knowledge SpecialistFocus: Customer training, knowledge transfer, documentation, and post-sale enablement.Key Responsibilities
- Develop training programs, product onboarding resources, and customer education pathways.
- Deliver technical training sessions for customers, installers, channel partners, and internal teams.
- Create and maintain product documentation, user guides, videos, and knowledge-base content.
- Gather customer experience insights to refine training materials and improve product usability.
- Support Sales with product knowledge resources to ensure accurate customer communication.
- Maintain expertise on Renon Power’s current and upcoming product roadmap to ensure up-to-date training content.
- Assist in building scalable education tools and documentation frameworks.
General Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to represent customer needs and use cases.
- Contribute to product roadmap discussions with market insights and user feedback.
- Track product issues and coordinate with engineering for resolution or feature development.
- Participate in trade shows, technical workshops, and customer site visits as needed.
- Maintain strong awareness of industry trends, energy storage standards, and competitive offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a technical university or in a technically focused discipline (e.g., engineering, physics, renewable energy, computer science, or similar).
- 1–3 years of professional experience in product management, engineering, technical sales, field applications, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of energy systems, electrical engineering principles, or BESS technologies (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to travel 20%–50% depending on customer and training needs.
