Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a CNC VTL operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating a variety of large format machines per op-sheets and blueprints while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment. Machined parts may have multiple shapes with steps, profiles, and diameters. Most definition carries a tolerance of up to ±.001”. This position is excellent for anyone who has knowledge of mechanical principles and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Ability to machine parts with multiple shapes, steps, profiles and tolerance
- Set up and operate per op-sheets and blueprints in a job shop environment
- Inspect the finished product for accuracy per blueprints and setup sheets
- Maintain your machine and troubleshoot issues
- Report any major issues to management or the maintenance team
- Follow operators’ responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by production supervisor or general manager.
Experience
- 2-5 years experience operating a CNC VTL or equivalent type of machine
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and job process routing sheets
- Ability to read, write and edit programs (preferred)
- Vocational certificate (preferred)
- Strong analytical abilities with excellent problem-solving skills
- Good math and communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Schedule:
- Day shift (Night Shift for Those Interested)
- Monday to Friday, 10 HR Shifts
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
