Dance Instructor (Recreational Program)

Renner Dance is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing dance instructor to lead recreational classes for students ages 3–18 beginning in Summer 2026.

Renner Dance Company has served families in the Chapel Hill area for more than a decade. We provide high-quality dance instruction in a supportive environment where students are encouraged to grow both as dancers and as individuals.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly recreational dance classes for students ages 3–18
- Lead summer camps and summer classes
- Teach styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, creative movement, and acro (depending on experience)
- Prepare students for our annual recital
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching dance to children and teens
- Strong classroom management skills
- Dependable, organized, and professional
- Passion for helping young dancers build confidence and technique
Preferred Qualifications
- Training in multiple dance styles
- Experience teaching preschool-age students
- Acrobatic Arts certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
Schedule: Part-time, with opportunities to teach summer camps, private lessons, and additional classes.
