Custodian/Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in supporting the overall functionality of our spaces through effective custodial practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and presentable.
• Assist with residential painting projects as needed, contributing to the upkeep of facility aesthetics.
• Carry out commercial cleaning duties, ensuring that all areas meet established cleanliness standards.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks as required, contributing to the overall functionality of the building.
• Serve as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of materials and supplies throughout the facility.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or facilities maintenance roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Ability to perform floor care tasks including buffing and maintenance of various surfaces.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining a safe work environment.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
