The Materials Engineering Intern position will be tasked with supporting projects involving material characterization, testing, and special process development including heat treat, brazing, and surface treatment. This position offers hands-on experience with material research, manufacturing processes, and product development working alongside experienced engineers.

The Materials Engineering Intern position will be tasked with supporting projects involving material characterization, testing, and special process development including heat treat, brazing, and surface treatment. Essential Functions
- Assist with material selection, characterization, and analysis for ongoing projects
- Conduct mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing of steel and aluminum parts
- Prepare and analyze samples for microscopic examination and mechanical testing
- Drawing and specification interpretation
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations
Qualifications
- Completed at least 2 years towards completion of a BS in Materials Engineering (or similar) at an accredited university (Jr. or Sr. status).
- 3.0 GPA
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Heat treat experience (actual or classroom)
- Braze experience (actual or classroom)
