Team Lead

Local manufacturer seeks Team Lead to supervise Grinding team in completion of work processes. Must ability to operate 48” to 100” Blanchard Grinder and train new and current employees. Responsible for overseeing and assisting in the setup and operation of machines to grind flat surfaces to bring into set tolerances using calipers and micrometers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Capable of operating all machines within department and able to fill in as needed

· Assist with establishing and communicating team goals

· Oversee assigned shift operation of the grinding department

· Monitor team performance and report on metrics

· Setup, adjust and operate a rotary wheel Blanchard Grinder

· Plan operating procedures on rotary wheel machine for flat grinding

· Make operating adjustments to calibrate machine

· Use scale, micrometers and indicators

· Works from part drawings, specifications and grinding instructions

· Use magnetic table and chucks or clamps to position and secure workpiece on table

· Select proper statistical tools to maintain process control and quality reliability

· Inspect and maintain work area and machine fluid levels daily

Qualifications:

· Strong leadership skills

· Proven track record of safety management

· Ability to communicate effectively

· Ability to read and understand blue prints

· Experience utilizing forklifts required

· Able to read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper

Pay rate: $24-26/hour Benefits

Hours: S, M, T 6pm – 6am, W 6pm – midnight
