Definition
This position is responsible for ensuring building security at Renewal’s non-residential and recovery centered facilities. The individual will maintain a secure environment by monitoring access to the facility, signing visitors in and out, and conducting regular rounds both inside and around the building. Responsibilities include responding to emergency and non-emergency situations, maintaining safety for staff and clients, and completing all required documentation in a timely manner. The role requires effective communication with all levels of staff, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the use of sound judgment and discretion in a variety of situations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education And/or Experience
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency and two years security related experience required. A Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field preferred. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, Act 33/34, and a high degree of ethics required.
Ability to function in a team setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to work well with people and have the ability to be assertive and remain calm in the event of a crisis and be capable of maintaining control in any given situation. Computer literacy is a must.
