Definition
This position will manage and coordinate activities relating to the safety and security of residents, employees, invitees, official visitors and company assets on a 24 hour basis to include all shifts and weekends. Responsibilities include maintaining order, enforcing rules and regulations and ensure jurisdictional compliance in all Renewal facilities. Individual will prioritize emergency and non-emergency issues and use discretion in various situations. Individual will manage and assist in the direct supervision of all security staff to include training of new employees, Onboarding, Payroll and enforcing Renewal, Inc. policies and procedure. Individual will ensure all necessary duties are completed and will report all extraordinary occurrences to the Director of Security and appropriate Management staff. This individual will serveas next in command to the Director of Security.
Eligibility Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education And/or Experience
Work experience in security, criminal justice field; Ability to function in a team setting. Supervisory experience is a must. Should be able to work well with people, have the ability to be assertive and remain calm in the event of a crisis, and be capable of maintaining control in any given situation. Must be computer literate. Writing skills and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite to employment. Working knowledge should be extensive in department/corrections/community corrections policies and procedures and best practices regarding custody of residents and security of a facility.
Associates Degree and five years’ of supervisory experience required. Experience in related field required. Valid PA Drivers’ License, Act 33/34 and high degree of ethics required.

Salary : $67,167 - $81,000
