Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for a Program Assistant at our Outpatient Program in Encino, CA!
This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team) to deliver effective treatment.
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday, approx. hours are 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- General Front Office duties:
- Answer Phones
- Greetings
- Answer Client Questions
- Provide effective crisis intervention
- Demonstrate active listening skills
- Prioritize daily tasks
- Utilize individualized approach to client services
- Support team members when a crisis occurs
- Manage time effectively to carry out daily job duties
- Ensure facility is clean, safe and in compliance with Community Care Licensing requirements.
- Correctly follow procedures
- Administer drug and alcohol screenings on clients.
- Maintain knowledge of job functions within the organization.
- Ensure clients attend all scheduled groups, and therapy sessions.
- Maintain a consistent, and open channel of communication with the Program Director and Clinical Director.
- Pick up supplies, lunches, etc.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work
- Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions
- Experience working with substance abuse preferred
- Currently registered with either CADDE or CCAPP preferred or willing to obtain upon hire for our substance abuse program
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Must Have Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance and reliable transportation.

- Hiring is contingent upon completion of a TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Clean driving record and current first aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
