Construction Operations Manager
Location: Quad Cities
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $55,000 - $110,000 per year
Position Overview
We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead our operations team across technical measurement, warehouse, paint/stain, and installation. This role is responsible for improving efficiency, managing resources, driving KPIs, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop multiple operations managers and team members.
- Oversee day-to-day installation and production operations.
- Manage workforce capacity to meet customer demand and installation timelines.
- Drive KPIs, revenue, margins, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with sales, customer process, and field installation leadership to align resources with demand.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and material staging.
- Manage production, paint, and stain operations to meet quality and installation deadlines.
- Ensure projects are ready for installation, including permits, documentation, payments, materials, and scope accuracy.
- Resolve customer installation concerns and support positive customer experiences.
- Manage installation labor and miscellaneous material costs.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7 years of experience in home improvement, construction, or a related field.
- 5 years of direct leadership experience.
- Customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques.
- Strong delegation, organization, and team leadership skills.
- Experience with budget development and oversight.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office, warehouse, and outdoor environments.
- Travel as required.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and move, push, and pull furniture.
- Ability to drive for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
