POSITION PURPOSE
As our Service Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring that every customer receives fast, efficient, and high-quality service. You'll be responsible for supervising service technicians, managing daily workflows, optimizing inventory, training team members, and driving performance through meaningful metrics. This position is perfect for someone with strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for developing others.
YOUR ROLE
- Supervise service technicians: assign work, review performance, and provide coaching.
- Lead weekly planning meetings to balance technician workloads and schedules.
- Monitor job metrics like call-backs, job count, and travel time - and use that data to improve performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with techs to support their growth and training.
- Adjust daily schedules as needed due to emergency jobs, cancellations, or priority changes.
- Collaborate with install teams to avoid scheduling conflicts and optimize field coverage.
- Track service KPIs like days-to-service and repeat visits and identify opportunities to improve.
- Manage inventory: parts, tools, PPE, and materials - and reduce waste or overstocking.
- Ensure techs are fully equipped and ready for each assignment.
- Develop and deliver training for service standards, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
- Perform quality audits, including photo reviews and customer follow-ups.
- Generate weekly reports on technician productivity, service metrics, and cost control.
- Address escalated customer issues tied to service quality or performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in field service, service supervision, or technical operations.
- Strong scheduling and logistical skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and act on performance data.
- Confident communicator with solid leadership experience.
- Familiar with CRMs, dispatch software, and mobile tech tools.
- Technically inclined and comfortable working with diagnostics and repairs.
- Bonus: Experience in window/door installation, home services, or construction.
