What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator - 1st Shift - 4 day work week position at Renco Machine Company?
Renco Machine Company is a family-owned job shop located in Green Bay and has been dedicated to the production of custom components since its inception in 1963. We are currently searching for a 1st shift Welder apprentice to join our dedicated team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and perform MIG and TIG welding based on customer specifications.
- Work from blueprints, drawings and job routers.
- Conduct in process inspections using a variety of measuring tools to check tolerances.
- Perform precision grinding to remove excess material and prepare parts for weld repair.
- Operate hoists and other lifting equipment.
- Work with appropriate personnel in production control, inspection, supervisors and other employees to maximize quality and productivity.
Education and/or Experience:
- Must possess blueprint reading skills, strong math skills, and in-process inspection skills and understand both metric and English measurements.
- Ability to read weld symbols and pass all weld tests.
- Must be able to maintain tolerance to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
- While hoists are provided to assist with lifting, you must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
