Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to ensure a positive dining experience
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, while upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Handle cash transactions securely, process payments, and give correct change with basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas and during beverage service
- Assist in food preparation when needed, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant standards
- Support the team with beverage service including wine knowledge and drink mixing for cocktails or spirits
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation practices consistently throughout your shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours, including nightclubs or fine dining settings
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants, cafes, or nightlife venues preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for sales transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and sales upselling techniques
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks comfortably
