What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Packaging Associate position at Renard's Cheese?
Assist in all packaging and production duties in the cheese making process while adhering to all proper procedures and standards set forth by management. Job requires adeptness to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to pay strong attention to detail and multitask effectively. This position performs a variety of duties and requires responsibility for inspecting cheese quality, inspecting bulk packaging, packaging the cheese, ensuring packaging quality, rework and performing general housekeeping duties. This position ensures compliance of all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations and guidelines. You must be a team player with a positive attitude that follows work instructions set forth by management. This position will be exposed to working in a wet/slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
- Packaging, sealing and labeling cheese and ensure package integrity.
- Cheese cutting
- Machine operation
- Ensure accurate labels and weights of product
- Gather supplies as required
- Follow all stated safety policies and procedures
- Produce according to production quota standards
- Clean & sanitize area and all equipment as required
- Properly document information legibly onto the production log sheets
- Move completed packages for loading.
- Stack boxes onto pallets, record and verify orders
- Keep track of inventory. Fill out forms and papers to record measurement, weight, and product count.
- Use hand-truck to move totes and pallets
- Prepares orders for delivery and shipping
- Report problems to the supervisor
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
Hours
7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
